Fordham University - Women's Rugby Club - Rugby Coach
The role involves coaching the women’s rugby team with approx. 25 players of varying abilities and experience. In the past the college has paid the coach a stipend of $1,500 per semester, in return for two nights’ training a week, and Sunday games. The players take care of all administration, logistics etc.
Training is at the coach’s discretion, traditionally it has been on Tuesdays and Thursdays 7-9 pm.
Seasons run alongside college semesters: Sep-Nov for 15s, Feb-Apr for 7s. The main challenge is ensuring all the players receive quality coaching relevant to their experience, knowledge and ability — which stretches from absolute novices to experienced players with 2, 3 and 4 years of experience.
